NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT
LUC MEUNIER JOINS R3D AS VICE-PRESIDENT (CORPORATE STRATEGIES)

Québec, September 15th, 2020 – R3D, a leading management and information technology consultancy, is pleased to announce that Luc Meunier, a senior manager who previously made his mark at the head of large private and public organizations, has joined our team as Vice-President (Corporate Strategies). 

This new collaboration aligns perfectly with R3D’s goal of broadening its management consulting and digital transformation offerings.

“Luc has devoted much of his career to the development and success of leading businesses and organizations and our team is naturally thrilled to welcome him,” said Claude Levasseur, R3D’s President and CEO. “His expertise will enable us to ramp up the growth strategy that we initiated last year when three major investors took positions in our company.”

This vote of confidence in R3D’s strategy and vision which was made by Investment Quebec (Investissement Québec), La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services and Quebecor (TSX: QBR.A, QBR.B) in 2019 will also help foster both its development and growth.

A VETERAN MANAGER
Meunier’s impressive background includes a range of strategic positions in the insurance sector and within large government organizations. These culminated in his role as Vice-President (Investments) at La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services, his most recent mandate. Meunier was also previously President of the Quebec Infrastructure Society (Société québécoise des infrastructures), President of the Quebec Workers Compensation Board (Commission de la santé et de la sécurité au travail) and Secretary of the Treasury Board of Quebec Secretariat (Secrétariat du Conseil du trésor du Québec).

2020 Philanthropic Contest
$400,000 IN DONATIONS TO CHARITIES IN THE HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SERVICES SECTORS

Quebec City, September 15, 2020 – The fourth edition of iA Financial Group’s Canada-wide philanthropic contest is officially launched! iA Financial Group, one of the biggest insurance and wealth management companies in Canada, is calling on charities working in the healthcare, education and social services sectors to answer the question “How could a donation of $100,000 help you get your activities back up and running, start a project or pursue your mission?”. The ten charities that win the public’s hearts and minds will share donations totalling nearly $400,000.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on a lot of organizations, many of which need a hand. These challenging times call for goodwill, mutual aid and generosity in order to help others. It’s in this spirit that we are proud to provide financial support to Canadian charities. We invite them to enter the contest in large numbers”, stated Denis Ricard, President and CEO of iA Financial Group.

At the end of the contest period ending October 15, a jury will pick the top ten submissions which will be presented to the public on November 2. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for the most inspiring submissions. The winners will be announced on December 10.

This year, three major donations of $100,000 will be made to the charities that receive the most votes. The seven remaining finalists will each receive a $10,000 donation. iA Financial Group’s 7,500 employees will also vote on their favourite charity, which will receive a special donation of $30,000.

Important dates:

  • September 15: launch of the fourth edition of iA Financial Group’s Canada-wide philanthropic contest
  • September 15 to October 15: submission period for Canadian charities
  • October 16 to November 2: selection by the jury of the ten projects to be presented to the public
  • November 1 to 29: public vote, to choose the two projects that inspire them the most
  • December 10: announcement of the winners

Remember that the first edition of the contest was held in celebration of iA Financial Group’s 125th anniversary in 2017. Since then, the company has held an annual contest, with a new theme every year, to ensure the company helps as many charities as possible. Last year, over $350,000 was donated to charities across the country that provide respite services.

Property Set to Reopen January 2021 Following $70M Renovation

Quebec City, September 14, 2020 — Hilton Quebec is pleased to provide an early reveal of its new look and experience as it embarks on a new era of hospitality.  Nearing the completion of an over $70 million dollar renovation, the hotel is unveiling the first images of its transformation including new contemporary public areas, restaurants, event spaces and re-imagined guest rooms as they will appear when it reopens after a one year closure, January 2021.

A COMPLET OVERHAUL
